Thomas will be conducting Strauss – Der Rosenkavalier in a rarely heard salon version from 1925 accompanying a silent film of the opera. The performance is part of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Southbank Series – Visions, Illusions and Delusions – and includes premieres of Strauss songs arranged for silent film, sung by Miah Perrson.
